Day 1: Arrival at JK Nyerere International Airport

Upon arriving at Julius Nyerere International Airport, our guide will warmly welcome you and assist with any needs. After a brief introduction and settling into the vehicle, you'll head to your hotel in Dar es Salaam. En route, take in the sights of this vibrant city, known for its striking skyline, diverse cultures, and bustling atmosphere. As Tanzania’s largest city, Dar es Salaam boasts beautiful beaches, scenic islands, fresh seafood, and a lively music scene. Once you’re checked in and settled at your accommodation, enjoy a relaxing dinner as you prepare for your exciting wildlife and gemstone safari, starting in the morning.

Day 2: Dar es Salaam- Mikumi National Park

Begin your day with a breathtaking SGR train journey from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, offering a unique view of Tanzania’s stunning countryside, rolling landscapes, and local villages. Once you arrive in Morogoro, you’ll take a short drive to Mikumi National Park, where you’ll embark on an afternoon safari. Feel the thrill as you venture through the park’s vast savannahs, keeping an eye out for herds of elephants, prides of lions, graceful giraffes, and an array of other wildlife in their natural habitat. This scenic and wildlife-rich experience promises unforgettable sights and the perfect start to your adventure.

Day 3: Red Spinel Tour

Day 4: Blue Spinel Tour

After an early breakfast, we’ll leave the accommodation to begin a full day of exploration in Mahenge, focusing on the blue spinel mining areas. Today’s visit will take us to active mining locations, where we’ll witness the intricate process of uncovering these rare blue gems. With packed lunches on hand, we’ll have ample time to explore, learn, and appreciate the beauty of these unique stones. Later in the day, as we wrap up our adventure, we’ll return to the accommodation, marking the end of our second exciting day in Mahenge.

Day 5: Spinel Tour

On our final day in Mahenge, we’ll dedicate the morning to exploring the remaining gemstone deposits in the area, immersing ourselves in the last stages of this unique mining experience. After enjoying lunch, we’ll begin our relaxed journey back to Morogoro town, where we’ll settle in for the night. Here, we’ll rest and prepare for the long, scenic drive to Moshi the following day.

Day 6: Morogoro- Arusha

Early in the morning, you’ll depart from your lodge in Morogoro and begin the journey to Moshi. Along the way, enjoy the ever-changing landscapes and observe the vibrant roadside scenes, where locals display and sell their goods in lively street markets. Arriving in Moshi by late evening, you’ll check into the lodge to unwind, enjoy a refreshing dinner, and relax in preparation for your Lemshuku gem exploration the following morning.

Day 8: Tanzanite Tour

On the second day, start your morning with an early breakfast as you take in the stunning sunrise. Afterward, embark on a tour of several prominent mining sites known for their substantial production. You’ll even have the chance to descend into one of the mines, getting hands-on experience with the mining process and uncovering gemstones firsthand. Throughout the excursion, safety gear and expert guidance will be provided. After the tour, enjoy a well-earned lunch, followed by coffee or tea. We’ll then prepare for the return journey back to town, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel for a restful evening.

Day 9: Departure
