10-Day Kenya & Tanzania Wildlife Photography Safari | Big Five & Great Migration

From Mount Kilimanjaro & Amboseli Elephants to the Great Migration, Big Cats, Ngorongoro Rhino & Tarangire’s Baobabs

This 10-Day Kenya & Tanzania Wildlife Photography Safari takes you to some of East Africa’s best wildlife photography destinations. The adventure begins in Nairobi and continues to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Next, explore the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, where you can photograph lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. During the Great Migration season, the Mara also offers opportunities to witness dramatic wildlife movements.

Cross into Tanzania and continue to Northern Serengeti, a prime area for Great Migration photography. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may also have the chance to witness a Mara River crossing.

The safari then continues to Central Serengeti, known for excellent big-cat sightings. Explore the Ngorongoro Crater for rhino, lion, elephant, and breathtaking crater landscapes. Finish your adventure in Tarangire National Park, where giant baobabs and large elephant herds create unforgettable photography scenes.

We recommend a private 4×4 safari vehicle for this photography adventure. A private vehicle gives you greater flexibility in the field. Your guide can adjust the route, positioning, and timing to suit wildlife activity and the best natural light.

A full day in the region gives you more time to follow wildlife activity. It also allows your guide to work around changing light and animal behaviour.

If conditions are right, you may witness dramatic Mara River crossings, with crocodiles and predators adding to the action.
