5-Day Ultimate Gorilla Trek Experience in Uganda

You'll arrive in Entebbe today from your international flights and after you’ve cleared
customs and immigration, you are met by your driver at international arrivals. They will
be holding a welcome sign with your names on it.
You are then driven to your luxury hotel in Entebbe where you'll stay for 1 night on a
bed and breakfast basis.

This morning, you will be transferred to the airport to catch the first Aerolink flight to
Kihihi, enjoying a scenic low-altitude journey over Uganda’s beautiful countryside and
varied landscapes. You will arrive in Kihihi before midday, where your driver will be
waiting to transfer you to Buhoma Lodge, a drive of approximately two hours through
rural villages and lush scenery.
Your stay at Buhoma Lodge will be for two nights on a full-board basis. The afternoon is
free to relax at the lodge or join optional activities at an additional cost, including forest
walks, birdwatching, or guided village visits.

Today is the long-awaited highlight of your safari gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest. Prepare for an unforgettable encounter with one of Bwindi’s
gentle giants, the endangered mountain gorilla. Bwindi is unique in Africa, as it is home
to both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, along with five other primate species, over
113 mammals, more than 200 butterfly species, and 360 species of birds.
You will track one of the habituated gorilla families, which are accustomed to limited
human presence. Trekking times vary from 2 to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’
location. Once found, you will spend up to one magical hour observing them in their
natural habitat an emotional and deeply humbling experience. Return to the lodge in
the afternoon to relax and reflect amid the forest’s beautiful surroundings.

After breakfast, you will be driven for approximately 2 hours back to Kihihi Airstrip for
your return flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Kampala, where
you will have an overnight stay. The following day, you will be transferred to the airport
for your onward flight
