Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Maasai Mara & First Game Drive

Your journey begins in Nairobi with a transfer to the domestic airport for your scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara. The flight itself is part of the experience, offering beautiful aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and the open plains below. Upon arrival at the airstrip, your guide will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you directly into the reserve, where your first game drive begins almost immediately.

This is one of the advantages of a fly-in safari — you don’t lose time on the road, and your wildlife experience starts right away. As you drive through the Mara, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly predators within your first hours. The landscape is wide and open, making it easy to spot animals and enjoy the surroundings.

You then proceed to your camp or lodge for check-in and some time to relax before heading out again for an afternoon or evening game drive. As the sun begins to set, the Mara becomes even more beautiful, with golden light covering the plains and animals becoming more active.

Day 2 - 3: Full Day in Maasai Mara – Big Five Safari

Today is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara in depth. With your private guide, you have the flexibility to plan the day around your interests and wildlife movements. You may choose to go out early in the morning when predators are most active, or enjoy a relaxed start followed by a longer game drive.

The Maasai Mara is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos. It is also one of the best places in Africa to witness predator action, as the open plains make it easier to observe natural behavior.

Depending on the season, you may also experience the Great Migration, where large herds of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains and cross the Mara River. Even outside migration season, the Mara offers excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year.

A picnic lunch can be arranged inside the reserve, allowing you to stay out longer without returning to camp. Throughout the day, your guide will adjust the route based on sightings, ensuring the best possible experience.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Fly Back to Nairobi

On your final day, you may enjoy a short morning game drive depending on your flight schedule. This last drive often brings unexpected sightings, as mornings are active times for wildlife.

After breakfast, you are transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. As you fly out over the Mara, you carry with you the full experience, not rushed, not limited, but complete.
