Bweza Gorilla Lodge is a charming and intimate safari lodge located on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda — one of the most remarkable rainforests on Earth and a top destination for mountain gorilla trekking. The lodge sits in the Rushaga sector, which is known for having many habituated gorilla families and excellent trekking opportunities right from a nearby briefing point, meaning guests can start their gorilla experience with only a short transfer.
The lodge comprises just five individual en‑suite rooms/cabins, each constructed using natural materials that blend into the lush rainforest setting. Each room features a private wooden balcony overlooking the verdant forest canopy and rolling hills — perfect for early morning coffee, birdwatching, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty of the wilderness. With solar‑powered lighting, hot and cold water showers, and thoughtful touches like fireplaces in some cottages, Bweza offers a warm and welcoming retreat after a day of trekking.
At the main lodge area you’ll find a comfortable restaurant, a relaxation lounge, a bar nook, and even a small spa treatment room. Meals are prepared with fresh local ingredients, often with a farm‑to‑table emphasis, meaning your food tastes authentic and fresh. The staff are known for their personal service and hospitality, helping guests unwind and feel at home in this remote wilderness location.
