After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the airport in Nairobi for a scenic flight to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. As the northern extension of the great Serengeti ecosystem, the Maasai Mara is renowned for hosting the dramatic seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and their natural predators.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge or camp in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, enjoy your first thrilling game drive, offering excellent opportunities to encounter Africa’s iconic wildlife in their natural habitat.

The reserve is famous for its iconic black-maned lions and its abundant resident wildlife, making it one of the few places in Africa where you can spot the Big Five even during a single morning game drive.

Depart from Arusha in the morning and journey to the scenic Tarangire National Park, arriving before midday. Upon entering the park, enjoy an exciting game drive through its diverse landscapes, spotting wildlife against the backdrop of iconic baobab trees and the meandering Tarangire River.

A delicious lunch will be served in the park before you continue with an afternoon game drive, maximizing your chances to see the park’s abundant wildlife, including large herds of elephants and other iconic African species.

This day is dedicated to full-day game drives in the Serengeti, one of the most wildlife-rich areas in Africa. The park is home to a variety of animals, including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos, but it is most famous for the spectacular migrating herds of wildebeest and zebras.

The timing and route of the migration depend on seasonal rainfall, with herds moving from the northern woodlands and hills to the southern grassy plains around November and December, then returning north during the long rains from April to June. Alongside the migration, predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs may be spotted stalking their prey.

After an exhilarating day on the plains, you return to your lodge to relax, unwind, and reflect on the unforgettable wildlife encounters.
