Day 1 – Pickup, Kigali City Tour and Drive to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide. After a short briefing, begin your journey toward Volcanoes National Park, located approximately 2.5 to 3 hours from Kigali.

Before departure, you may enjoy a short Kigali city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which offers deep insight into Rwanda’s history and resilience.

As you travel north, enjoy the scenic beauty of Rwanda, famously known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” The drive offers views of rolling green hills, terraced farms, and rural villages.

Upon arrival near Volcanoes National Park, check in at your lodge. Relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain environment.

Day 2 – Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers on gorilla trekking rules, safety, and expectations.

You will then be assigned a gorilla family group and begin your trek into the dense rainforest. The trek duration varies from 1 to 5 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location, and can involve hiking through steep slopes and thick vegetation.

Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch them feed, play, groom each other, and interact — a powerful and emotional wildlife experience.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
