After breakfast at your lodge in Southern Serengeti, you will depart with a packed lunch and begin your scenic drive toward Central Serengeti, passing through the Ndutu region. The Ndutu area, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, forms part of the greater southern Serengeti ecosystem and is renowned for its seasonal wildlife concentrations.

As you journey northward, enjoy a game drive en route across the vast plains that define the Serengeti National Park. The Central Serengeti, particularly around the Seronera River Valley, is celebrated for its year-round abundance of wildlife. This region provides exceptional opportunities to encounter a remarkable variety of resident animals, including the iconic Big Five.

Spend the day exploring the rich landscapes and wildlife activity of Central Serengeti, where endless savannah stretches to the horizon and predators and prey roam freely. Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at your lodge or tented camp in Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti), you will depart the park and begin your journey toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. The drive itself is a game drive en route, giving you more opportunities to spot wildlife across the open plains of the Serengeti.

As you travel through the park, your guide will continue searching for animals along the way. You may encounter lions resting on rocky kopjes, elephants moving across the savannah, giraffes browsing on acacia trees, and herds of zebras and wildebeests grazing in the grasslands.

Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will descend into the crater for an exciting safari on the crater floor. Often referred to as Africa’s Garden of Eden, this natural wildlife sanctuary is home to a remarkable concentration of animals, including lions, buffalo, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. After enjoying a game drive and picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend back to the rim and continue to your lodge in Arusha for Dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Cultural Experience & Airport Transfer

On the final day, after breakfast at your lodge in Karatu, you will be picked up by your guide and begin the drive toward Arusha. On the way, you will stop at the lively village of Mto wa Mbu, located near Lake Manyara National Park.

Here you will enjoy a short cultural tour, where you can walk through the village, visit local farms such as banana plantations, explore the local market, and experience daily life in this vibrant multicultural community. It is a great opportunity to learn about local traditions and interact with residents.

After the visit, you will continue the drive to either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your memorable safari adventure in Tanzania.
