Today, your 8-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari & Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Adventure will start with arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Colours Africa Tours and Safaris and transferred to your lodge in Arusha.

Arusha is known as the safari capital of Tanzania and serves as the gateway to the country's most famous national parks. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge, enjoy the beautiful gardens, or explore the city at your leisure.

Your guide will provide a safari briefing to ensure you are fully prepared for the exciting days ahead.

After an early breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of the highlands and Maasai villages along the way.

Upon entering Serengeti National Park, the scenery transforms into vast, endless plains dotted with acacia trees and abundant wildlife. Enjoy your first game drive as you head toward your camp.

The Serengeti is famous for its incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hyenas, and numerous antelope species. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Arrive at your camp in time for dinner and enjoy your first night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Today is dedicated to exploring one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations. After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

Your expert guide will take you to some of the most wildlife-rich areas of the park. Search for prides of lions resting under acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, elusive leopards hidden in riverine forests, and large herds of elephants moving through the savannah.

The Serengeti is also home to thousands of zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, topis, hartebeests, and countless bird species. Every game drive is unique, offering exciting opportunities for wildlife photography and unforgettable encounters.

As the sun begins to set over the plains, return to camp for dinner and relaxation around the campfire.

Enjoy an early morning game drive, often considered one of the best times to observe predators in action. The cooler temperatures make wildlife more active, providing excellent opportunities for sightings.

After breakfast, continue with a final game drive through the Serengeti before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Arrive at your lodge located near the crater rim, where breathtaking views and cooler temperatures provide the perfect setting for relaxation.

After breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa's Garden of Eden.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. The crater floor supports a remarkable variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals, hippos, and the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool while surrounded by the crater's stunning scenery.

Following your game drive, ascend from the crater and return to Arusha for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Kigali, the vibrant capital city of Rwanda.

Upon arrival, meet your Rwandan guide and begin a guided city tour. Kigali is widely regarded as one of Africa's cleanest, safest, and most organized cities.

Highlights of the tour include local markets, craft centers, panoramic city viewpoints, and the Kigali Genocide Memorial. The memorial offers an important and moving insight into Rwanda's history and the remarkable journey of reconciliation and development that followed.

After the tour, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

After an early breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park, located in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains. Upon arrival, receive a briefing from park rangers regarding gorilla trekking procedures and conservation efforts.

Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, begin your trek through lush forests, bamboo-covered slopes, and volcanic terrain in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families.

The trek can take anywhere from one to several hours depending on the gorillas' location. Once found, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants as they interact, feed, play, and care for their young.

This rare wildlife encounter is considered one of the most extraordinary experiences in Africa.

After the trek, receive your gorilla trekking certificate before returning to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your onward journey.
